HerStory, Our Future is implemented by a consortium of five organisations across Europe, combining expertise in youth work, digital storytelling, gender equality, communication, and non-formal education.

Public higher education institution with strong expertise in communication, media studies, and European project coordination.

Wazo Sociedad Cooperativa (Spain)

Social cooperative specialised in youth empowerment, gender equality, and audiovisual storytelling for social transformation.

Contextos – Cooperativa para o Desenvolvimento e Coesão Social (Portugal)

Cultural and social cooperative focused on youth participation, digital advocacy, and gender equality.

Mladi ambasadori (Serbia)

Youth organisation promoting civic engagement, innovation, creative industries, and social entrepreneurship.

Associazione di Promozione Sociale Bee.com (Italy)

Non-profit association working in media education, gender equality, human rights, and audiovisual communication.

Project Objectives

ADVOCACY SKILLS

We equip young people with practical tools, training, and educational resources to challenge sexism, racism, xenophobia, and discrimination in their communities. Participants build key competencies in gender equality advocacy, critical thinking, digital literacy, and media storytelling. Through interactive learning and real-life scenarios, they strengthen their leadership abilities, civic engagement, and confidence to actively promote inclusion and social justice.

LEADERSHIP AND DIGITAL ACTIVISM

The project empowers young people to design and implement advocacy campaigns. Through experiential learning and capacity-building activities, participants develop leadership skills, strategic thinking, and digital activism techniques. They learn how to mobilize communities, use online platforms effectively, and create impactful campaigns that raise awareness, inspire action, and contribute to positive social change.

AMPLIFY WOMEN'S VOICES THROUGH STORYTELLING

HerStory empowers young people to use media and storytelling tools to share inspiring narratives from their communities. Through mini-documentaries and creative media projects, participants develop storytelling and communication skills, explore intersectional perspectives, challenge stereotypes, and give visibility to voices that are often underrepresented — including, but not limited to, women’s stories.
