From Research to Action: New HERStory Resources Now Available
25/06/2026
What does gender equality advocacy look like in today’s digital world? How can young people use communication and storytelling to inspire change?
To help answer these questions, the HERStory consortium has reached an important milestone with the publication of two key project resources.
The first, the European Diagnosis Report, presents findings from research conducted across Spain, Portugal, Serbia, and Italy. Combining desk research, surveys, and expert interviews, the report explores youth engagement in gender equality activism, digital communication practices, and storytelling approaches. It provides a comprehensive overview of current trends, challenges, and opportunities across Europe.

Building on these findings, the project has developed the Competence Framework for Youth Empowerment in Gender Equality Advocacy. The framework identifies the key competences young people need to become effective advocates for gender equality, both online and offline. It will serve as the foundation for future HERStory training activities and educational resources.

Together, these publications mark a significant step forward in the HERStory project, helping transform research into practical tools that empower young people to raise awareness, challenge stereotypes, and contribute to a more equal society.
